OTIMOS is a device that allows the treatment prescribed by your physiotherapist anywhere, reducing the recovery time and number of therapy sessions.
Each year, millions of people suffer permanent physical and neurological damage from:
- Strokes or strokes
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Brain paralysis
- Sports injuries
These people need to resort to physiotherapy services to support their recovery. However, the process faces several obstacles:
- Physiotherapy sessions take a lot of time and are expensive;
- The exercises prescribed to do at home are not done in the most correct way;
- The motivation to fulfill the plan decreases over time;
- The physical therapist can not analyze the quality of the exercises that the person does.
To solve these difficulties we developed the OTIMOS: Apparatus that reproduces the exercises prescribed by the physiotherapist with the intensity, precision and orientation appropriate to the needs of each patient.
OTIMOS consists of hardware and software systems that, combined, allow the detection of movements through robotic actuators supported in 3D structures that capture the movements that the patient must perform.
This system has the ability to later reproduce the movements by following and adjusting the patient's necessary effort to ensure the correct execution of the exercises, such as a physiotherapy session.
Thus, the OTIMOS allows to perform at home, the movements prescribed by the physiotherapists, recording the performance and collecting the data of each exercise for later analysis of the physiotherapist.
Our solution allows patients to save time and money on extra sessions, decrease recovery time, and give the physiotherapist detailed information about patient performance and progress.
