"Aurora" is a short film that evokes the reality of the interior of Portugal in the early 80s, giving life to a narrative about the aftermath of the rural exodus, delving into a world where oblivion and abandonment intertwine with innocence.
In this short film, we follow Aurora , which represents the last vestiges of a rural world, where we feel the weight of a life of labor, isolation and abandonment.
Aurora is a young girl whose childhood seems to fade into the shadows of the past, which is revealed through her troubled relationship with her doll.
The narrative invites the viewer to explore the beauty and poetry of the rural world, side by side with its rawness - on a journey that is both one of recognition and an invitation to reflect.
The film will be shot in several mountainous locations, immersed in the depths of the Góis region, in the District of Coimbra. Most of these locations are difficult to access. The choice was the result of several years of research, supported by various contributions from people and entities related to the promotion and conservation of this heritage.

Miguel Chichorro
The Cinema of Sensations and Memories: Miguel Chichorro has always felt attracted to the narratives latent in the details of spaces. Based on his passion for photography and cinema, his work seeks to capture attention through a simple visual grammar, combined with the desire to tell stories that evoke the ability to reflect and imagine.
