Manga is a growing literary style in Portugal and the A Ultima Semente project aims to help spread it.
The team behind this manga is made up of two authors and an illustrator, in partnership with the Portuguese publisher, Midori Editora. The three are the only Portuguese with works published by it. Therefore, with the publication of the first physical volume, it is also intended to encourage more Portuguese authors and illustrators to follow in the same footsteps.
About The Last Seed:
Following the influence of Miyazaki Hayao, The Last Seed has as its protagonist a young woman – Lynx – who goes in search of who she is and finds a world much wider and more fascinating than she expected. From the discovery of the existence of magic, to the perception of the corrupt world he inhabits, but also of companions for life, Lynx travels the world with the objective of finding his parents and discovering who he is.
But, like any shounen protagonist, he always stumbles upon outlaws, corrupt politicians, villains intent on eradicating magic, and even pirates!

As a comic book publisher, specializing in manga (or Japanese-style comics), Midori Editora aims to encourage and promote national creation, helping authors and artists to fulfill their dream of being able to publish their works in the Portuguese book market.
- About the authors and illustrator -
Ana Ramos
Ana Ramos was born in Coimbra and graduated in "Film Studies" at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, United Kingdom. She studied Japanese Language and Culture at the University of Coimbra, worked as a translator for television series, films and also as a screenwriter and screenwriter.
With this project he intends to start a career in the manga industry that he admires and loves so much, based on the work of some of his favorite authors. Among them: Oda Eiichiro, Urasawa Naoki, Inoue Takahiko.
Francisco Fonseca
Francisco Fonseca, born in Fátima, is a conceptual, designer and creative artist.
Always passionate about video games, he completed his "Computer Games Art" degree in 2018 at the University of Anglia Ruskin in England, later spending time developing his artistic skills.
He finds himself developing various personal projects in an adaptable way and always accessible to the expectations of his people, while he spends his days with his head on the moon.
Claudia Lopes
Abrantina, with a degree and a master's degree from FBAUL, was involved in several exhibitions as a student, completing the Concept Art course at the same time at ETIC, and later on at NEXTSTART. Having an unhealthy passion for Manga and Webtoons, he is currently focused on Comics and Illustration. Interested in exploring different themes, her biggest motivation as a multifaceted artist is being able to bring her infinite and random ideas to life, through her creative method and the help of a little sugary coffee, of course!

Podemos afirmar que estamos na fase de conclusão do livro! Em breve poderemos realizar a primeira prova de impressão para os últimos retoques e avançar com a impressão deste.
O plano inicial era estarmos já na fase de impressão, no entanto, por vezes existem dificuldades e obstáculos que nos impedem de seguir, porém, queremos assegurar-vos que estamos no bom caminho.
