Lets give a shelter for the Donkeys
The Peña Mourisca Ecological and Cultural Association works in the area of preservation of natural heritage and biodiversity. It's in this context, that the preservation of the Asinine breed of Miranda is inserted.
We have been given a vacant lot and now it is urgent to seal it and build the Donkey Shelter. This is the first step and the value of this campaign is intended for this purpose. The excess amount will be used to purchase food for the Donkeys and plant crops for their food.

About the author
The Ecological and Cultural Association of Peña Mourisca is a non-profit association created in October 2018. It aims to promote cultural and ecological education activities that allow the collection, preservation and dissemination of local cultural heritage, sharing of intergenerational learning and ways of living in connection with nature.
We are located in an inland territory, in a mountain area, with a rich cultural and natural heritage (fauna and flora), of which, for example, we can highlight the Carrazedo Biodiversity Station (Natura 2000 Montesinho-Nogueira site) that counts on more than 50% of the species of daytime butterflies existing in Portugal; the oak forest of Serra da Nogueira, considered the most extensive in Portugal and the ancient route XVII made by the Romans and connecting Portugal and Spain.
The main nucleus of this Association, left the capital and came to settle in the village of Carrazedo. They moved to a lifestyle closer to the land, created the Association and aims to contribute to reducing desertification in the interior of the country, creating new opportunities and enhancing the natural and local heritage. In this context, the ambition is to contribute to the preservation of the Asinine breed of Miranda and, to this end, the construction of a Shelter for Donkeys.
The technical team consists of 7 elements with training and experience in the following areas: Permaculture Design, Agricultural Production Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Mycology, Organic Agriculture, Agroforestry, Syntropic Agroforestry, Yoga, Sociology, Aromatherapy, Naturotherapy, Theater, Photography, Computers. The team organizes their work in a cooperative perspective, from the conception to the realization of the projects, sharing responsibilities and tasks in the organization, consulting and execution.
The nucleus of direct intervention in AbrigóBurro is constituted by Rute Moura and João Vasco Henriques, residents in Carrazedo and members of the Association.
