French bakery in Portugal

Help create a French bakery in Portugal.

Help create a French bakery in Portugal.

We all have memories that stay with us forever. For me, one of those memories was born on a small street in Paris, where, as a child, I learned to recognize the smell of freshly baked bread. That warm, buttery aroma, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, marked me so deeply that I grew up dreaming of taking that piece of France with me wherever life took me.

Years later, already in Portugal, I realized that this dream could finally take shape. Here I found a country that values craftsmanship, appreciates authentic flavors, and welcomes new traditions with open arms. And that's how the idea of creating a French bakery and pastry shop was born — a space where each croissant, each baguette, and each brioche tells a story. A bakery that doesn't just sell bread, but moments, memories, and the true experience of traditional French baking.

The plan is outlined:

Traditional recipes perfected at the French baking school;

Identified suppliers to ensure quality products, flours, and suitable equipment.

studied location

But there's one essential step I can't take alone: the initial launch of the project — from adapting the space to purchasing the fundamental machines needed to produce bread and pastries correctly, with authenticity and respect for technique.

This is where you come into the story.

By supporting this campaign, you are helping to transform a real dream into a local, sustainable business that will bring the true taste of French bakery to Portugal. Let's open together the first French bakery that will make Portugal fall in love, every day, with French-style bread and cakes, without forgetting our regional products.

About the author

My name is Rafael Ferreira dos Santos, I am 37 years old, I was born in France to Portuguese parents, and I completed my pastry chef course at the best French pastry school in 2008.

I moved to Portugal permanently 7 years ago.

I learned a lot in Portugal about pastry and bread making.

Today I want to use my knowledge to offer a variety of breads and cakes different from what we know in Portugal, without neglecting our specialties such as meat pies, custard tarts, Chaves Easter bread,...

Budget and due dates

The funds I'm requesting today are only a part of the larger investment I have to make.

These funds will serve as a down payment for a €50,000 loan.

This credit will be used to purchase the transfer of ownership, which is worth €43,500.

The rest of the money is for buying machines and the initial raw materials to be able to get started.

-a dough kneader: to knead different doughs.

-a mixer: for pastry making, for creams

- a laminator: for making puff pastry dough

- A dividing head: used to divide mass into equal weights.
