Storm Kristin took the roof, but not our dignity. The Santa Eufémia Funeral Home urgently needs repairs to its roof, floor, and walls. Help us restore respect and silence to this place of farewell. We are counting on your help!

"The passage of Storm Kristin through our parish left marks that time alone cannot erase. At the Santa Eufémia Funeral Home , the force of the wind ripped off the waterproofing membranes, exposing the interior to the fury of the rain."

The infiltrations were severe and the diagnosis is clear. We need to intervene urgently in:

  • Roofing: Replacement of screens and insulation to prevent water from entering.

  • Floor: The laminate flooring is completely damaged and needs to be replaced.

Casa mortuária - pós Kristin - infiltrações e piso flutuante cheio de água

  • Interior: The bathroom doors were damaged and the walls of the main room need painting and treatment.

The issue of death and the loss of loved ones is an extremely delicate matter. For all of us, the funeral home is a "House of Respect and Silence." It is the final resting place where we pay homage to those who have passed and comfort those who remain.

Thus, despite the numerous damages to the parish's equipment, the Parish Council of Santa Eufémia and Boa Vista considers the reconstruction and requalification of this space to be of paramount importance and urgency, creating dignified conditions for the final farewell to our loved ones. We count on your help to restore dignity to this place that belongs to everyone.
