My first silly poetry book

I wrote a book of poetry, with simplicity, about love, with humor. I want to publish this little book with the sole aim of getting at least one smile out of every supporter. This book is a rip of inspiration to rip out big smiles.

Writing a book without being a genius, without being a public figure or a pseudo-influencer, and getting it published is an impossible mission. I lack followers and literary genius, but I did my best to write a number of poems that I cannot publish. I can't divulge the name of the book either, it's a shame, but it's for a good cause. I hope!

I was already a ghost writer for a book (surprise, I can't say which one either) and now I want to publish mine with the support and affection of family, friends, acquaintances and strangers who want a captive place in my heart.

And now, about the book itself. It's a poetry book, but I'm far from being a poet. Poetry is not just Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, Camões, Pessoa or other pompous names in Portuguese literature. Poetry also has popular sayings and regional expressions, more or less naughty, that we all know. In Portugal, poetry can be erudite and refined, but it is also the ideal formula to win a pastime on social networks. My poetry is a bit of both.

About the author

João F. Ribeiro was born in Lisbon in March 1991, but he lives and defends Sintra as if he had been born there. He studied science in high school, graduated in journalism and left two master's degrees in marketing halfway through. He has dedicated himself to being a full-time copywriter since 2016 at the rate of one agency per year and, in the meantime, he writes chronicles at Público P3, does freelance work whenever he can, taught Portuguese in college and had an author program on Rádio Voz from Alenquer. Creatively restless, he feels as good in the water as he does writing. Copywriter by profession and Pisces by birth, he has more ink than paper, more ideas than time and dreams of making them all come true. And next is this book.

Budget and due dates

Funding will be solely and exclusively for the publication of the book. The timing depends on the Publisher, but the delivery of rewards starts in September 2023.
