"Fragments" is an autobiographical comic that portrays, without filters, the experience of living with Dissociative Identity Disorder and other mental health realities, in an attempt to give voice to what often remains silent.
Fragments is an autobiographical comic of about 200 pages, drawn using a hybrid analog and digital technique, with a raw style inspired by sketchbooks.
The book recounts the experience of living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, also addressing topics such as anxiety, depression, bullying, fear, sexuality, and self-harm, and how it is possible to overcome all of these challenges with willpower alone.
Throughout the pages, different voices and fragments of memory intersect, creating an intense and honest portrait of the reality of mental illness, uncensored and unfiltered.
This book does not seek to soften or embellish the pain, but rather to expose it, understand it, and warn of its risks.
The crowdfunding campaign will make it possible to bring this physical edition to life and share this story with those who can recognize themselves in it or understand it better.
Because talking about it can make a difference.
