The Mystery of the Legends of Sintra is a jovenil collection books inspired by the legends of Sintra.

The Mystery of the Legends of Sintra is a collection of children's books inspired by the legends, mysteries, and magical atmosphere of the Sintra Mountains. Each book brings a different legend to life, transforming it into a fantastic adventure set among the historical monuments of Sintra and other mysterious locations I've created, where reality constantly intersects with imagination.

Throughout the stories, readers are transported to magical worlds hidden in the mountains, existing in a parallel reality to our own, inhabited by mythical creatures, ancient secrets, and characters inspired by the history of Sintra itself.

Joana, the protagonist of the collection, is one of the guardians of the Sintra Mountains, whose mission is to protect the balance between the human world and the magical universe that remains hidden from most people's eyes. Together with her cousins—João, Miguel, and Viviana—she is constantly involved in adventures full of mystery, humor, danger, and discovery, as they face challenges that test their courage, friendship, and ability to protect the secrets of the mountains.

About the author

I was born in Sintra, a land of mists, palaces, and legends. There, I found a place to give voice to the fantastical world that has grown in my imagination over the years.

For over fifteen years I have worked with children in creative and educational fields, developing projects related to visual arts, physical expression, and film, always seeking to awaken curiosity, creativity, and a love of reading in the youngest members of the community.

The collection "The Mystery of the Legends of Sintra" stems from my deep connection to the Sintra Mountains—a place that, for me, was a living stage for adventures, mysteries, and fantasy; among castles, hidden gardens, and paths shrouded in mist, I built the literary universe that I now seek to share with readers: stories that combine imagination, Portuguese identity, mystery, and emotion.

More than just writing books, I seek to create gateways to the imagination, encouraging children and young people to discover in reading a space for discovery, creativity, and enchantment.

Budget and due dates

By publishing the books through this campaign, I have the opportunity to edit the book with the support of the collection's existing followers.

All of my books are self-published, created independently and with a great deal of personal involvement in every detail of the process.

This campaign does not generate any direct profit, and all funds raised are earmarked for the production of the book and improving the sustainability of the publishing house.
