Help me publish the children's book:"The Girl Who Watched Storms"

Help me publish "The Girl Who Kept Storms": because no child should keep storms alone.

Help me publish "The Girl Who Kept Storms": because no child should keep storms alone.

"There are things that don't make a sound... but change everything inside."

For a long time, I learned that there were feelings that were kept silent.
Later, as a primary school teacher, I began to recognize that same silence in many children.

Children who smile.
They're just playing.
They seem to be doing well.

But inside, they carry storms that no one sees.

It was from this human, silent, and profoundly real place that "The Girl Who Guarded Storms" was born.

An emotional and therapeutic children's book that helps children, families, and educators talk about difficult emotions, fear, silence, anxiety, and the importance of asking for help.

This is not just a story.

It's a space for listening.
A hug in the form of a book.
One way to tell a child:

"You don't have to keep everything to yourself."

Because this book is important.

Not all children can explain what they feel.

Some become quieter.
Others hide their emotions.
Others learn too early to pretend that everything is fine.

"The Girl Who Kept Storms" was written to help open up conversations that often seem impossible.

Using simple, poetic, and symbolic language, this book allows you to:

  • To promote emotional literacy;
  • to create dialogue between adults and children;
  • to help children recognize what they are feeling;
  • To show that asking for help is an act of courage.

In addition to the story, the book includes:
✨ Emotional activities for children
✨ Guide for parents and caregivers
✨ Educational proposals for teachers
✨ Practical tools for emotional expression

A Menina que Guardava Tempestades

Because I need your help:

Writing this book was an act of courage.

Now I need help to bring it to life.

The funds raised in this campaign will be used for:

  • Professional book illustration;
  • pagination and production;
  • First edition printout;
  • Sending the rewards;
  • Dissemination of information to schools, families, and professionals.

I want this book to reach the hands of children who need to feel that someone sees them.
That someone is listening to them.
That someone can hold up the sky with them.

If you believe that books can also take care of things…

… then this campaign is yours too.

By supporting this project, you're not just helping to publish a book.

You are helping to create space for important conversations.
For silences that welcome.
For children who need to know they are not alone.

Because there are storms that no one sees.
But there are also lights that begin to appear when someone chooses to listen.

Some children learn too early to hide what they feel.

If this campaign manages to help even a single child feel less alone… then it will all have been worth it.

Thank you for being a part of this story. 💛

"There are things that are too heavy for a child to carry alone."

"Sometimes, changing a life starts with just someone who listens."

About the author

My name is Carla Sophia Pinho and I am a primary school teacher.
Over the years, more than teaching, I've learned to listen to silences.

In the classroom, I met children who smiled while hiding their fear.
Children who learned too early to keep their feelings to themselves.
Eye contact that pleaded for help without words.

It was from this encounter between my experience as a teacher and my personal life that "The Girl Who Kept Storms" was born.

This book wasn't just created to be read.
It was born to welcome.
To make room for dialogue.
To help children realize that they don't have to face their storms alone.

I deeply believe that books can be tools for care, empathy, and transformation.
And I believe that sometimes a story can be the start of a conversation that changes everything.

This campaign represents much more than just the publication of a book.
It represents the desire to bring this message to schools, families, educators, and children who need to feel that someone sees them, listens to them, and understands them.
