Janardo Kindergarten will be reopened and renovated, requiring work on the exterior. The project includes an educational garden and nature-related play equipment.
The population increase in the area influenced by the Marrazes School Group implies that new solutions need to be considered.
The Janardo Kindergarten, with two classrooms, will reopen next school year. The building will be renovated by the Municipality of Leiria, but the outdoor space needs to be improved to provide the necessary conditions for play and learning.
The project includes the creation of an educational garden and the installation of recreational equipment connected to nature.
With the collaboration of the children, we intend to create a vegetable garden with aromatic plants, vegetables, and flowers. Following the Curriculum Guidelines for Preschool Education, the cultivation space will be organized by colors, shapes, and growth cycles. The children will participate in watering, sowing, and harvesting. The Sensory Garden will have plants and flowers that stimulate the senses: smell, touch, and sight.
