To promote social equality between geographically close communities, yet socially distant through judo practice.
The project appears in Príncipe Island and will last for three years. Here we find a social gap between rural communities and those who live in the capital city. This inequality is visible in academic achievement and access to services and employment opportunities.
One way to minimize the problem of social exclusion is to reduce the negative preconception, creating opportunities of cooperation and interaction between socially excluded and included communities. The aim is to create links to enable a real perception about who are these people and communities.
The aim of Judo Global is to increase social inclusion of rural comunities through judo classes and mounthly gatherings.
Judo classes take place weekly in a rural community and in the city. Another objective is to ensure the continuity of the project, through training local leaders.
Once a month, we propose interaction and cooperation between the two judo schools through volunteer activity and practice of judo.
The Judo Global need a Global help. We count on you!
