Hello everyone,

It is with enthusiasm and passion that we launch the fundraising campaign for the animated short film "Made of Tiny Boxes", our final project for the Bachelor's in Cinema and Audiovisual.

To achieve our desired artistic vision, we need your support! Support Portuguese animation cinema!

SYNOPSIS OF THE FILM

"A bureaucrat, whose name doesn't matter, comes across a celestial institution that imposes unusual bureaucratic rules and procedures in the afterlife. To pay off his debt and get to heaven, he will have to face a tedious routine of sorting words to pay off his debts . Each box, a task; each word, a weight. The timer in his office indicates that he still has many hours of work ahead of him. He remembers the box of matches in his pocket. These quickly become his addiction, offering a brief escape from the monotony of his work. Each lit match is a small act of resistance, a momentary break in the heavenly routine. At the height of exhaustion, the bureaucrat, with an aged face and tired eyes, finds himself in front of the last match in the box."

The directors behind this project are David Matias and Vasco Gil.

For David, the magic is in telling stories that touch hearts. He is passionate about bringing authentic characters to life and exploring concepts that make us reflect on the world around us.

Vasco, on the other hand, is an animation enthusiast who finds beauty in every visual detail. They're dedicated to creating visual experiences that transcend expectations.

Our extensive experience of working together is not new to this project. Throughout our academic training, we have always worked together: facing creative challenges, celebrating victories and, above all, learning the value of artistic collaboration.

Together, we are embarking on this journey with "Vida Numa Caixa". It's not just a movie for us; it is the materialization of shared dreams and the opportunity to tell a story that resonates with the general public.

We hope to have your support, as this project will not be possible without the help of people who believe in the magic of well-told stories.

Budget and due dates

What will the money be used for?

The answer to this question is quite simple. As this is a traditional animation (that is, where each frame will be drawn individually), we need to hire people to be able to support us in the animation process. As it is a animated project, there are essentially no costs for renting equipment, locations, accommodation... none of that.

Our main need is simply hiring animators.

To do this, we start with the minimum objective of €720 which, with the PPL commission rate, ends up being €653.58 for the project. This value is the minimum amount to start, but we believe that with your support we can achieve much more (and with more resources, a better result!). If you can't contribute, no problem! Just the act of sharing this page with more people is a huge help.
