About the author

Hello, my name is João and I've been a musician and composer for two decades. Besides being part of the band Flaming Joseph, I've developed works for short films, documentaries, institutional films, and various collaborations that span very different musical styles — from string quartets to punk rock, from classical orchestrations to horror soundtracks.

However, the time has come to release a set of personal songs, with guitars, bass and drums, accompanied by piano and synthesizers, which I called “This is Jacob”. You could call it my first solo album — although I'm not exactly the central figure in the project… if that makes sense. I'm excited to finally be able to share it with you!

Budget and due dates

Pre-orders and donations will directly contribute to the following expenses:

- Recording, mixing and mastering 

- Design and Artwork

- Distribution, production and merchandising

The total budgeted amount to date is €6,930.00. Your donation will be used for the services mentioned.

Scheduling:

- December 2025: Recording is completed.

- Jan 2026: Mixing and Mastering

- Feb 2026: Digital Launch

March 2026: First physical edition, limited and exclusive print run.

Note: These are the dates we have planed and take into account various scenarios. Significant deviations will be communicated and addressed via email.
