One afternoon, João is confronted with the discovery of a secret that will turn his life around.
João is a lonely teenager with an unstable family environment. One afternoon, João arrives home and finds his mother, anxious. When he decides to relax in his room, his father comes home agitated, ready to leave and not return. After a heated argument between his parents, João decides to follow his father in search of the truth. Arriving at his destination, João is confronted with the ideal family, but, with no sign of his father, he abandons his search. However, just as he is about to give up, his father arrives and João realizes the connection between him and the perfect family he knew: this is his father's real family.
Intentions:
“Sem Sinal” will seek to explore a nostalgic look, reminiscent of the early 2000s. The idea of nostalgia aims to create an emotional connection with its viewer, something that can serve as a distant memory, with which they identify in some way. Therefore, by creating something relatable to the viewer, the narrative can have an emotional impact on them. Different values and ideas could be called into question, analyzing not only João's fictional story, but also the possibility of embarking on an introspective journey of what is important in his own life – comfort or truth?
