Raise funds to carry out improvements and renovations at the Sementes Celestes Kindergarten, an educational space inspired by Waldorf pedagogy, located in Pinhal Novo. The funds raised will be used to improve the physical conditions of the space, reinforcing the safe, natural and welcoming environment that we offer our children.
🌈 About the Project
Sementes Celestes Kindergarten is a non-profit school that believes in a free, happy and healthy childhood. We are inspired by Waldorf pedagogy to provide an environment where each child can grow at their own pace, in contact with nature, in harmony with the community and with respect for their integral development.
Over the past few years, we have been building this project with a lot of love, dedication and collective effort. Now, it is time to take the next step: improving and renovating the physical space of our garden so that it continues to be an inspiring, safe and lively place for children.
💡 How will the funding be used?
The amount raised will be invested in:
🛠️ Renovation of interior spaces (rooms and structures) with natural and sustainable materials
🌿 Improvement of outdoor space, including play areas and green areas
🔐 Strengthening the building's security and accessibility
🧸 Acquisition of furniture and teaching materials in line with Waldorf pedagogy

About the author
My name is Rita Santarém and I have been an educator for over 40 years. I am in charge of the care of the Semenstes Celestes Garden at the Sementes Celestes Association to resume activities with children in this 2025/2026 school year. I have a lot of love for what I do and I believe in education with an Anthroposophy and Waldorf Pedagogy perspective to bring more conscious, lucid, free and better beings to the world we live in.
I really want to be able to offer families a welcoming, beautiful and healthy environment for a quality education for those who can attend our site.
I offer my work as an educator to families, courses, workshops and lectures on education, childhood, and crafts.

Budget for renovation of the Celestial Seeds Kindergarten
- Wearable material from the "Cristina Siopa" store (the only store in Portugal that offers this type of material):
- 12 Brushes - 12.65 Euros each
- Watercolor Sponges: 2 units: 2.50 Euros
- Watercolor box (6 basic colors): 36.99 Euros
- Beeswax Chalk Blocks: 48, 50 euros
- Beeswax Chalk Stick: 42.30 Euros
- Watercolor sheets: 88.40 euros
- Beeswax for modeling: 29.99 Euros

- Kitchen equipment (the current one is very damaged):

- Triangular playground covers (10mx5m):
- 6 tensioned screens (5x5x5): 1,500 Euros
- Paints for exterior painting (Preparation + Exterior White Paint): 195 euros
-Roof waterproofing:
- 4 rolls of canvas + Waterproofing Paint: 210 Euros
- Replacing the Sand in the Parks: 360 Euros
-Removal of synthetic grass from the football field and placement of vegetable gardens:
- Mandala removal of synthetic grass: 600 Euros
- Soil for vegetable gardens, sub-soil and bricks: 480 Euros
- Renovation of the Wooden House:
- Wood and paints: 80 Euros
- Interior:
- Fill holes and renew the paint with watercolor paint: 35 Euros
- New plaque with the name of the garden: 95 Euros
- New curtains: 50 Euros
- Materials for the children's rest room: 100 Euros
- Purchase of material to make new toys for the indoor room: 200 Euros
- Purchase of new toys for the outdoor space: 300 Euros
GRAND TOTAL: €4,752.98
*** This is an initial budget, but if we can get a little more we will make other improvements and buy materials such as toys, kitchenware and other things that are missing. We still have a lot to improve and we want to make the Garden beautiful to welcome families!
