“Life. Spots. Love. Death.” is the story of HIM, a boy that meets HER in the university where they both study. We follow the journey of a disturbed relationship, since the first days of euphoria until it becomes toxic
HIM and HER are two young adults that meet and start getting envolved in a troubled relationship. We follow the beggining of their relationship, from its lovingfull beggining to its bitter end, all the transformations it suffers and how theese affect them. This apparently happy and healthy involment becomes a toxic and sick love, something that he can’t release himself from even though it only hurts him. To which lenghts can people live while questioning love? How deep can we clean the spots it leaves? What do we really take in the end?
This is an independente production, so we don’t have any type of financing besides the contribution of each team member. We rely on this crowdfunding to cover the rest of the production costs needed for the SECOND part of shooting and post production.
The main carachters have no names and we don’t know any personal aspects of Their lives, so the focus of the action is always in the way they interact with each other and with that which surrounds them, and what really is important to observe are all the feelings and their frailty based on those same interactions. With that being, the narrative never ceases to be unique because it always belongs to Them. But, at the same time, it belongs to other Him’s and Her’s; it belongs to those who live, suffer, love and die.

Life. Spots. Love. Death. It is a project that is being built for two years, a result of the maturation of what would be in its genesis a short experimental film to a feature film that, although it doesn’t steer completely away from that content, has a more narrative character. Today, after we completed the first phase of filming, we are even more confident in what will be the final product, and the desire to achieve is increasingly growing.
All the members that are part of the tehnical team of this project have a Bachelors degree in Cinema from the University of Beira Interior. Some of them have already finished Masters degree in Cinema, and some are currently in the process of finishing it. They have in their curriculum short-films awarded in several film festivals, three of them saw their final short films from Bachelors and Masters recieve the Audience award, Jury or both in the three editions of the film festival of the university, Ubicinema, that have elapsed since 2012
