Urban study to justify a small public investment in the construction of a railway station next to S. João hospital. It will provide demand that will give economic viability to the passengers operation in Leixões Line.
It is intended to obtain funds to pay qualified technicians for the realization of an urban study for the Asprela railway station construction, next to the S. João hospital (Porto / Matosinhos). As can be seen in the attached video, the reopening of Leixões line for passenger traffic with the construction of this station will have a significant impact on the mobility, real estate market, social cohesion and air quality in Porto metropolitan area.
Studies by CP / Refer indicate that the total reopening of the Leixões line to passenger traffic will allow the transportation of 2.9 million passengers per year (http://www.cm-matosinhos.pt/frontoffice/pages/242?news_id = 4369)
It is estimated that the cost of preparing this study (architectural component, civil engineering and economic impact) and subsequent disclosure to the local and central administration is € 2750.
The campaign will last until the end of 2017.
