The Nor - noRules Album

"The NOR" are a project with 12 years of existence. The objective of this project is the edition in cd format of the band’s 1st album named "NoRules". The album consists of 10 original songs and a version of the “Stranglers” song "Golden Brown". The 1st single of this work, the song "Tell Me", is already audible on several national radios, being part of the main playlists of "Rádio Comercial" and "Kiss FM".

"The NOR" are a project with 12 years of existence. Initially formed as a studio draft, as a result of the free and spontaneous composition they quickly recognized the enormous musical empathy uniting the musicians, leading to prominent stage of personal artistic satisfaction. Throughout this long incubation period, the group created some 40 songs, many of them already recorded on multi-track. However, in terms of sound recordings, the band has not yet commercially edited any of its creations. Only a few songs came out in digital support.

After some inactivity periods, sustained by internal rules of the group, the return to activity in 2012 is taking place as planned.

Hence, in 2012 the band decided to record songs that had not yet been used together with old material that represented the artistic conditions and techniques that the group had pre-defined to produce their first official studio single, "Tell Me". The song has already begun to generate interest on the market, as it has been air-played in the present playlist of the "Rádio Comercial".

Following the defined strategy, the group has scheduled the edition of 2 cd’s. The 1st one to be released in August 2012, with the integration of the work from 2001 and 2010, and a 2nd one to be released in 2013, with the latest material. This year marks also the beginning of live activities, as they are available from next September for live-shows.

The objective of this project is the edition in cd format of the band’s 1st album named "NoRules". The album consists of 10 original songs and a version of the “Stranglers” song "Golden Brown". All songs are already recorded, mixed and mastered. The release of this album depends only on the final funding for the payment of duties to "The Portuguese Society of Authors (SPA)" and the duplication process of the CD’s copies. The 1st single of this work, the song "Tell Me", is already audible on several national radios, being part of the main playlists of "Rádio Comercial" and "Kiss FM".

"The NOR" work as a kind of musical laboratory, where their 5 alchemists exploit surgically their ideas in perfect collective harmony, projecting their influences and musical tastes, in favor of the songs and arrangements. This universe has been achieved by means of a musical and personal acquaintanceship that goes back to the first steps into the musical world as this team consists of 5 people who, in addition to working together for several years, became themselves references in the Portuguese music panorama at the highest level, namely:
