Rondó da Carpideira is a musical project inspired by the work of enthnomusicologist Michel Giacometti, who wandered through Portugal in the 70's collecting samples of Portuguese traditional music, wich were broadcast by national television in a series called "Povo que Canta".
Mixing music and video, Rondó da Carpideira, is like an traveling museum that sheds light and reminds us, through the gatherings of Giacometti, the music of an almost forgotten popular tradition.
Tradition and modernity gathered in this edition, recorded in Caldas da Rainha's Cultural and Congress Center, both in Cd and DVD, here is the project we present to your consideration, with your support, we hope to spread this music, who seeks more than simple entertainment, a kind of live art with genuine reinvention.
