Who?
We are a group of students from the University of Beira Interior (UBI) that has the privilege to study cinema, in what was the first course on the art created in the country. During the second year of the course our team came together to create other worlds, dreaming to get closer to you and your imagination. Now we need your help!
What?
Que é Feito dos Dias na Cave is a thriller that follows the attempted escape of a boy in the labyrinths of a remote psychiatric hospital. For this, Marco (João Sério) will have to overcome multiple obstacles, including the personal ghosts that disturb his senses. Marco wants to escape from the asylum and himself.
This project is the culmination of our study phase. After 3 years of learning, there is a stage of our lives we want to close as best as possible. This film will be that, but we want it to be MORE. We want you to be a part of this team and in the end we want to have a film that will travel the world, and show off the power of cinema. Filmmaking practiced in very special circumstances. Dividing the scenario with different age groups, with different levels of experience and knowledge.
About the author
Ana Clara Saragoça | Production Director, born in Espinho. In addition to already having participated in the production of other films, she fully produced the short film Kinesis (2014).
Tiago Primitivo | Screenwriter and 2nd Assistant Director. Tiago has worked with this team in the short film Kinesis (2014) where he was also responsible for the screenplay. Right now he has two original screenplays in pre-production, O Inferno é um bom Sítio para Férias and Descobrindo a Variável Perfeita.
Rafael Pereira Almeida | A director from Figueiró dos Vinhos, where he's currently trying to develop his own audiovisual production company, ARTEiMANHA. Rafael has directed many short films, including Kinesis (2014) and Dementia (2014), a film selected for several renowned competitions in Portugal, such as Best Short Portuguese Horror Short Film, in MOTELx - LinkedIn.
José António Lucas | Editor and 1st Assistant Director. José has edited several independent projects including the short film Kinesis (2014).
Bibiana Sousa Nunes | Cinematographer and Graphic Designer born in Espinho. Bibiana has worked on several independent projects and other short films, including Kinesis(2014). She designed the poster for Dementia (2014) which was selected for the best poster in the CineEuphoria awards - LinkedIn.
Inês Ferreira | Art Director born in Viseu. Graduated in Film, Video and Multimedia Communication in the University Lusófona of Lisbon. Inês has worked as Propmaster and Assistant Art Director in multiple projects, both academic and professional. Among her works in the art department lies Esquizophonia (2013) and Ruas Rivais (2014) on display in NOS - LUSOMUNDO cinemas.
Nuno Afonso Ribeiro | Sound Director born in Caria. Nuno has completed a course in Multimedia and has already participated as a professional in this area, in several short films, including Kinesis (2014) and Dócil (2014).
Miguel Rijo | Soundtrack Composer born in Figueiró dos Vinhos, Miguel has a long career and a lot of experience in this field. As a teacher, he taught in 11 schools since 1999 to the present day, being today the teaching director of the Academia Futuro - Espaço Música. As a musician, he joined seven distinct formations as a guitarist and as a singer. Miguel is a music composer and producer, author of 4 songs awarded in different young music festivals. Miguel Rijo also works as a freelancer "audio web designer" for an Australian company.
The team is also composed of more and no less important professionals, such as the assistants João Ferreira, Vasco Silva, José Paiva, Francisco Morais and Sofia Abreu. The making of will be directed by Miguel Pinto.
