It will be premiered on May 03, 2018 at the former Barracks Sta. Barbara, at Estefanêa, at Lisbon.
PHOBOS ou os órfãos de amor is a dramatic text written in 2017 by Diogo Tavares. The text constitutes itself as an interpretation of human nature on its most grotesque form. Social and moral values, as we know them, are manipulated by the woman character, Tutor. This autocratic and infertile character draws the sons of others into her dead, dark and confined space. Educate and control them at her image, leading them to believe that they are orphans of love. The deprivation of food is the method used to coerce these children to participate in her theatrical whims, in order to achieve her catharsis, and to create her own reality show. Having fulfilled her purpose, she offers to the audience a dinner with the company of the actors.

About the author
Since 2013, Alexandre Tavares and Sylvie Rocha, have jointly developed a dialogical and multidisciplinarity work between creation and interpretation. The first project was A NOSSA CASA, text of Diogo Tavares, creation of Alexandre Tavares, with an interpretation of Diogo Tavares and Sylvie Rocha presented at the Teatro Municipal Mirita Casimiro, C.C. Malaposta, Animateatro and Escola de Mulheres. In 2016, POR NASCER UMA PUTA NÃO ACABA A PRIMAVERA a co-creation of Alexandre Tavares, Anouschka Freitas, Diogo Tavares and Sylvie Rocha with interpretation of Alexandre Tavares, Anouschka Freitas and Diogo Tavares, was presented at the Festival Mostra_T, Escola de Mulheres and at the 34th International Festival of Almada. In this new project, PHOBOS, we try to cross the theatrical dramaturgy with movement and site-specific; the location and the architecture of the space in question are taken into account to create the show. The binomial between power/submission is considered in this new artistic object, which is an social and human reflection.

Budget and due dates
We use PPL for a crowdfunding campaign for two reasons: first, because contributions can be made from € 1; second, because we do not have any kind of state or private financial support.
If we can achieve our goal of € 2,200, this amount will be used for the following items: theater rehearsals, graphic designer, promotional materials (brochures, posters), consumer accessories and PPL commission.
