The Lagos Dance School (Escola de Dança de Lagos) is going to the Dance World Cup 2016 that will be held in Jersey next June. The school has 15 dancers that have been selected to represent Portugal in that event so, for that reason, we're seeking some financing. Every euros are welcome and we would be very grateful for your support.
The Lagos Dance School (Escola de Dança de Lagos - ADL) it's a non-profit organization that develops it's activity in dance with children, young adults and adults from both genders.
Some of our students have been participating on a regular basis on several competitions national and international wide. One of these competitions where our students have been sucessively selected is the Dance World Cup (DWC). We have been present in this competition in 2011 (Paris, France), 2012 (Villach, Austria), 2013 (Brighton, UK), 2014 (Lagoa, Portugal), having reached 1st and 3rd places.
This year, again, 15 of our dancers were selected to attend the DWC 2016 in Jersey and our students would be delighted to go!

About the author
The Lagos Dance School had its beginnings with the work of the Professor Ljiljana Silva at the Youth Space in Lagos, with the support of the Board of St. Mary Parish in 2004.
Since its inception, the school aims to develop the project "Ballet for All", investing in a high quality education, based on hard work, discipline and a constant search for beauty of perfection, never failing to create conditions for all to have access to dance classes.
In 2007 it was created the Lagos Dance Association (ADL) a Nonprofit Association whose purpose is the dissemination, promotion and teaching of dance.
In a few years, the ADL has become a reference school in the Algarve region with regard to ballet school under the method of the Ballet Academy of A. J. Vaganova of St. Petersburg, Russia. Extended the faculty of the school, more teachers spent focusing on other areas of dance, such as traditional dance, contemporary, oriental, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom dancing, flamenco, tap dancing, acrobatic, among others. Currently, the ADL has a total of 146 students in various forms of dance.
In a natural way the students of the ADL became a constant presence on stage shows in the Lagos Municipal Council (CML) and associations and Lagos county schools and Vila do Bispo municipalities,
Given the rapid growth of the Association in 2008 the CML gave, for exclusive school use, the mechanical workshop space of the former Secondary School Gil Eanes.
As a result of the work done in these last nine years the Lagos Dance School has participated in several national and international competitions and obtained excellent results. Students of the Lagos Dance School have participated in various competitions at national level, such as Dance World Cup - Portugal, Dançarte - Faro, Leiria Dance Competition, and Children's Arts Festival and School of Albufeira, among others, having arrived several times the ratings summits, both the dance group level as with soloists. Internationally, the students of the Lagos Dance School were determined several times for the Dance World Cup (Dance World Cup), and participated in the editions of Paris 2011 (France), Villach 2012 (Austria), Brighton 2013 ( England), Lagoa 2014 (Portugal). Among all these stakes there are the meritorious ratings 1st and 3rd place.

Alexandra Kholkina -10 years
Mélanie Calado - 14 years
Group of 12 students aged between 12 and 16 years Debora Batista, Mafalda Alexandra, Francisca Pestana, Maria Correia, Ana Pacheco, Laura Barreta, Margarida Silva, Joana Franco, Filipa Gonçalves, Matilde Nande, Daniela Nascimento and Mélanie Calado .
Budget and due dates
The budget includes the travel, accommodation and food of 15 students:
Travel: 15 x 590.00€ = 8,850.00€
Accommodation: 15x 180.00€ = 2,700.00€
Food: 15x 150.00€ = 2,250.00€
TOTAL = 13,800.00€
In this campaign, we intend to finance 2,000€
Having regard to the event date, we plan to get this money to June 15, 2016.
