Pedro Limpo was born in Lisbon, grew up in the city of Covilhã and took root again in the Portuguese capital. His passion for music was born with his father - keyboardist and piano tuner, Pedro Rodrigues. He studied classical and jazz music and its approach to music has undergone several ways, as a cultural programmer, as a student, as a teacher, as a musician. He studied with various musicians, such as the Jazz singer Maria João, who has voice classes, among many other musicians of the classical and jazz panorama in Portugal.
He has always been in love with the music of Fausto, Sérgio Godinho, Rui Veloso, José Afonso, João Gil, Carlos Paredes, Amalia Rodrigues, but also by Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Djavan, Toquinho, Edu Lobo, Vinicius de Moraes, Pixinguinha, Duke Ellington , Count Basie, Bobby Mcferrin, Al Jarreau, David Linx. Works from the beginning of his career with the poet and writer Roberto Leandro, lyricist of most of its songs.
In this project works regularly with André Mota (drums), André Ferreira (bass), Diogo Santos (piano and keyboards) and other guests.
It is assumed with a project of his own, "Viragem", or "Turning" in English, with many influences and into a new musical concept created by Portuguese musicians, the Portuguese Music Urban style, or Música Urbana Portuguesa (MUP).
