Olé, Golegã

Typically Ribatejo party made by a group of amateur nature of people who love their culture and tradition!

This project aims to help realize the 5th edition of the event "Olé, Golegã." This event was created by a group of young people who had not the slightest idea of what was to organize an event of this nature. This project allows to give greater dignity to the event and as it were, to the village of Golegã. At a time when backups are increasingly scarce the Association is to promote the project in order to gain speed and keep a beloved event for all who visit Golegã. It has mostly private financing relying on a small financial support from the local authority and is therefore not at all sufficient to realize the event.

In short, the event which I speak is called "Olé, Golegã" which takes place on days 3,4,5 and 6 September and, as its name implies takes place in Golegã, village situated on the Tagus waterfront belonging to District of Santarém in the heart of Ribatejo. This event despite being "young" has achieved great success not only locally but mainly at regional level making Golegã, not only a "land of horses" as usual to designate, but also a village with liking and extolling and promoting culture of our beloved ribatejo. It is therefore, as already gave to understand, a bullfighting event, or rather, with many shows with bulls with the usual inputs and running of bulls through the village streets, concerts, ethnographic parades, etc.

About the author

The Association "Olé, Golegã" was made up of 11 elements in 2012 for carrying out traditional events nonprofit. Currently we have 16 elements. The Association, in addition to the September event will still "nights of fado", "equestrian rides," among other cultural performances.

The organization of these events is the responsibility of the Association.

The Association is "the party by the party" without any advantage or benefit of its members. what moves us is the love of earth, happy to make events that streamline the land and the county, the taste for tradition, happy to keep alive this culture as Ribatejo.

Budget and due dates

A party of this kind require a well prepared budget for it causes immense secondary costs such as:

Cattle: 2,800€
Grades for the enclosure of starts: 400€
campinos meals (+/- 18 people per meal): 1,300€
musical performances and performances: 2,600€
sound system for all day: 1,500€
prizes and souvenirs: 400€
advertising and promotion: 1,000€

this is the most important headings of the event.
We have the poster and book on the event within half months.
