After 3 years of activity and lots of concerts , rehearsals and masterclasses , the OCPzero is invited to participate in the Summer Festival in Kassel , Germany.

After 3 years of activity and lots of concerts , rehearsals and masterclasses , the OCPzero is invited to participate in the Summer Festival in Kassel , Germany. The journey is taken by plane to Frankfurt and to Kassel by bus.

The festival organizers ensure costs of accomodation but not to travel. The OCPzero needs your help to get the necessary financial budget to purchase the flight tickets for this tour to became real.

The work with the young members of OCPzero - JOP has known as a crescendo since its foundation 4 years ago.

 The OCPzero is a project of educational and social nature launched in 2010 by the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, with the support of triennial Linklaters Portugal , with the goal of creating a youth orchestra nationwide.

Assays were performed and masterclasses with musicians of OCP and its artistic director , conductor Pedro Carneiro, as well as with international soloists such as Heinrich Schiff and Ruth Killius.

The number of concerts has been growing in number every year: in Lisbon on Music Days in Belém , at the Belém Cultural Center in CERCIOEIRAS and other IPSS's in Pacos de Brandao and Aveiro.

Auditions are annual , both in Lisbon ( CCB ) and in Porto ( Conservatory of Oporto) .

In 2013, OCPzero became a member of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras , based in Vienna and Linklaters UK continue to support for three more years adding funding of exchanges with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

The Portuguese Chamber Orchestra (OCP) intends to become one of the best chamber orchestras in the world, strongly advocating a musical preparation based on principles of utmost artistic integrity and authenticity, deriving on their founding pillars: intensity, energy, imagination and national identity, thus promoting multicultural and transnational dialogue. Our orchestra has led pioneering social work among cultural institutions in Portugal.

A Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa é composta por 90 jovens músicos de todo o país. Todo o dinheiro arrecadado nesta iniciativa irá ser aplicado diretamente na compra das passagens aéreas de Portugal para a Alemanha. (ida e volta) A OCP - Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa é uma associação sem fins lucrativos, declarada recentemente Instituição de Utilidade Pública pelas iniciativas sociais de que tem sido promotora ao longo destes 7 anos de história. A meta que nos propomos a chegar é de 2500€. O ideal seria ultrapassar. A data limite é a de 8 de Junho de 2014 data limite para comprar passagens aéreas a um preço acessível.
