What was real that day - photography Alexandre Simões Project for photography exhibition support in warsaw 25 pictures of urban landscapes, nature and portraits. The Images were taken in various cities in Europe and New York. Expressed lived realities, particular moments, life experiences. Mostly black and white images, never before presented and is the first time that I introduce color in some.

PHOTOGRAPHY ALEXANDRE SIMÕES

FORMAT: 25 images will be displayed in 40x50 and 60x70. It aims to be the largest exhibition of my own: the amount of the works presented; the size of pictures with higher formats and thematic diversity.

STREET PHOTOGRAPHS There will be a  section of urban images images captured in various cities such as Istanbul, Barcelona, Paris, Florence, Berlin, Budapest, Lisbon, Porto, Manhattan, etc.

NATURE: Another section will be dedicated to nature, pictures in Praia da Adraga in Belém Botanical Park, Quinta da Regaleira, etc.

PICTURES: Another section will be occupied with pictures of people I met throughout life - mostly portray public figures, actors, musicians, film directors, photographers, painters, etc.

INAUGURATION: The exhibition opens at ArtBistro Stalowa52 Gallery in Warsaw in Poland already having a confirmed date for the day 25/03/15. I intend to present 35 images printed in analog barium FB RC Glossy paper and plastic, in various formats.

About the author

Alexandre Simões was born in Brussels in 1967, professional musician, laboratory technician and photographer, Studied music in J.M.P, Hot Clube de Portugal and Siena Jazz Foundation.

Producer Course Sound in "Quaser Productions Audovisiuais".

In 1992 becomes involved with photography, through professional photography course and lab black and white in Gallery 12

After doing a photography workshop and the black and white laboratory at the School of Visual Arts Maumaus, he was invited to be assistant of Álvaro Rosendo and Adriana Freire photographers.

Produces the first works as an editorial photographer in several editions of Algebraic Group (Lisbon) and the cultural city guide of Porto, the "Metro" magazine (Porto).

Worked as laboratory assistant of "Manu" Emmanuel Rodriguez, in two laboratories Professional Photography - Diabolaget and Manu Lab.

Traveled  in Europe and New York where produced most of his photographic work. Currentely  combines musician activity with the photographer, performing concerts and exhibitions in Portugal and abroad.
