The Portuguese market has always been poor of national books of art. "O Livro do Pintor" fills this lack and reveal secrets of the masters, from the past to the present.
During the last year I wrote and prepared an art book "O Livro do Pintor" who has won the interest of national publishers.
I intend with this book to convey the reader a general knowledge of painting and talking about composition, manufacture of oil-based paints, watercolor and egg tempera, as well as a plenty of others for writing and painting on paper, the materials and also manufacture their own canvas,the knowledge of materials from past to present, colors, pigments, colour index, contrast, mixtures, evaluation and observation of art works, history of painting, perspective, Anatomy etc.
About the author
Francisco Chinita. Painter and designer whose work is based on the oil and the graphite, which he uses for working in the Surrealism and in the portrait, during years. In the last years he abandoned the oneiric freedom of the surreal and he focused on the realism and the hyper-realism like a personal challenge to surpass the creation of God, creating the illusion of a new reality, and following a current that had origin in the United States and in Europe at the end of the 20th century. More and more artists all over the world are following this technique for the future. In the Hyper-realism exists an idea that it is not the artist that does the work, but the society that he represents.
This was the spark that awakened the publication of the book that was presented to the publishers, having received two of them, the interest in publishing. I´ve chosen by Chiado publishing with which I'm signing for the edition of the work.
