12 hours dedicated to the theater, the streets and people. Evora, is the scene of genuine expressions that lead to all , the Theatre and Art . The action jumps to the street, interfering with daily life , offering theater and suggesting interpretations.
Starting from a common idea already developed in previous editions , to present art in a free concept, taking it to people, inspiring them or questioning them, creating " breaks " in their daily lives opening the space that surrounds them and intuiting the creation of new audiences, this event /show theater, follows this principle, pick up on emerging projects, experimental ideas, or plays, rebuilds them and adapts them to the street or outdoor spaces open to the public, using the space as a creative inspiration, and intervention / living facility as a means .
Deconstruct the conventional , recreating it and challenging the actor / performer and the spectator. An open invitation to the population that increasingly lives in an individual way, to share something collective, making it happen through the streets where strolling in the city, on the terraces where having a coffee in the gardens where it rests, or route going to work.

"We think the art of a free form ... It was from here that we got together and we formed the CAL an open community to ideas, projects, embracing alternatives to what conventionally is done there. We work art in the sense of giving and April ... go to public to seek different stimuli, a process of deconstruction and re-creation. As regards Antonin Artaud, first of all, we need to live, we need to believe what makes us live and that something makes us live (...) .
In this way we try to artfully unite Theatre, Music and Visual Arts in an attitude of joint exploration of art, body, materials, sounds, words, ideas, of ambiences, procedures, directions. We seek from silence to cry, explore the limits and rediscover the freedom to create without total dependence on institutions and capital as the basis of creation.
Descartes tells us, act with more freedom who better understands the alternatives choice. As more clearly appears as an alternative to true, the more easily this alternative is chosen.
Then we walk towards the alternatives."
With this text we present ourselves, since we created the CAL. And today we identify with these words and principles.
As artistic director we have Actress / stage director Ana Leitão, one of the founders of CAL, which coordinates all the events of 12 hours, linking them through the city.
Ana Margarida Leitão, born in Caldas da Rainha and graduated in Theatre Studies / Interpretation in Porto - ESMAE, concluding Masters at the University of Évora in Dramaturgy / Storyboard. He founded about 8 years, the Community of Artists Free, as experimental and theatrical intervention project with the aim of exposing projects and emerging artists.
Budget and due dates
The requested budget is 650€.
As you can imagine, an event of this size, with several projects, artists and for long hours, not you do with 650€, if it entailed payments caches or higher production costs.
Since it is a free event where there are no ticket sales, and not be a structure supported monetarily or subsidized, we have the "voluntary" participants, however, we intend to always cover expenses that aim the realization of street spectacle and promotion event.
This money will be to cover prints, posters and flyers, production costs of necessary materials (props or costumes or any plastic material that is basic need of the projects), travel expenses (where applicable - in the reception 2 projects out of Évora) , water and power the whole team (not in restaurants, but food that will always be available for you to continue the creative journey during 12H).
60€ - graphic work
180€ - advertising (dissemination radios, TV and social platforms especially) and prints (posters and promotional flyers)
70€ - travel
150€ - production materials
150€ - Power of the whole team (actors and technicians) for the day of the event
40€ - commission costs 5% of PPL (VAT included)
The main goal and deadline for completion of this amount will reach 650€ until 22 March, since the event will take place-March 27.
