Greetings, dear Human Being!
I am Marciano, a singer-songwriter, and I need your help to launch my debut album.
I want to mark the difference.
Give me your support and you will be well rewarded. ;)
I consider myself an artist with a very specific view of things, a set of tracks were born out of a ‘natural birth’ where I tried to demonstrate my passion for music and the battle I fight to fuse 2 worlds: the richness of alternative music with pop music’s beauty, marking a new chapter in Portuguese music.
After a few shows that were very well received by the public, it is now time to, literally, to give you music.
That is, my first album.
To take this step I need financing of 2500 euros, that is the reason for this fundraising campaign (crowdfunding) and why I ask for your support to fulfil this ambition of mine.
I ask that you contribute with a monetary value for my project, and depending on the value you decide to give, you will have the respective reward as a token of my gratitude.
For that I have various offers, from a digital copy of the album to the physical one, a concert, a dinner, amongst others.
You choose how much you would like to invest.
You will have a decisive and fundamental role as I need your help to move forward.
This album is a very important step in my career as a musician.
That is why I hope to have your support, being my family, or a friend or simply you who are a fan of my music.
I would also appreciate that you share this campaign with your friends.
In Mars name, I salute you! :)
About the author
Marciano Silva, Musician
Marciano has been on our planet since 1978.
At the terrestrial age of 7, he discovers that music is and will be his passion, until he departs from this world.
Cyber Christ (1997-1998)
Cyber Christ was his first band. It was a short relationship due to creative differences. Even being its founder, he decides to leave.
Canker Bit Jesus (1998-2010)
In 1998 starts at Canker Bit Jesus, a group that emerges from the dissolution of a very popular metal band in Leiria, Exomortis (1991-1997). Marciano has a very important role in the change of the sound for a more ‘muscled’ rock. The band is very popular in Leiria, given the effectiveness of its shows.
After 13 years together, the band decides to break up.
Homem de Marte & Os Invasores (2010-on a break)
After the break up of Canker Bit Jesus, Marciano decides to go ahead with a new project called Homem de Marte (Man from Mars).
Slowly he gathers another group.
Homem de Marte e os Invasores (Man from Mars and the Invaders) have their debut in 2011, at Leiria’s Freshman Welcoming, sharing the stage with Virgem Suta. In 2012 they play at Festa do Avante (Cultural and musical festival organised by the Portuguese communist party) and in 2013 the band is selected by Corroios Modern Music Festival 2013. The band is the winner of the competition and take as prize the recording of an EP and the honour to share the stage with the legendary The Chameleons.
The band is on a break since 2014.
Índios da Meia Praia (2012-present)
Having the will to explore the musical planet of Zeca Afonso, Marciano invites Bé (classic guitar) and Joel Madeira (contrabass) to this adventure to form Índios da Meia Praia (“Half Beach Indians”) — a tribute to Zeca Afonso and Amigos da Luta. They also pay tribute to José Mário Branco, Fausto, Adriano Correia de Oliveira, Manuel Freire, amongst others.
Marciano sets out to Lisbon in 2013, where he is still at present. Not knowing other musicians, he gets access to an iPad and starts composing. For the first time he leaves behind his natural habitat, rock, and starts creating an undefined genre that wanders between alternative music, pop and 80s electro, using as means of communication his native language Portuguese.
Marciano has a support band composed by Miguel Cervini (guitar) and Duarte Cabaça (drums and programming), and members of other bands like Balla, Austin, Valdez e as Piranhas Douradas.
The continuity of this story now depends on you!
