A year after the start of artist residency, da fábrica que desvanece à baía do tejo, Casinfância intends to celebrate this adventure, editing a book that is the result of a last moment of this project, where we defied the six portuguese artists, António Bolota , Dalila Gonçalves, Martinha Maia, Projecto Teatral, Ricardo Jacinto and Valter Ventura to develop an exclusive piece for this book.
To honor and to go beyond a simple testimony of this residency that happened in the post-industrial territory, the book "da fábrica que desvanece à baía do tejo", refers to an artist book, a limited edition. To ensure the success of this initiative, we are holding this crowdfunding where we call for your contribution. A book, developed by Vivóeusébio design collective and printed by the graphic Maiadouro, an enjoyment of thought, matter and essence of the place. We would like to invite you to participate in this project, where any contribution is welcome. The Casinfância is a non-profit association that belives in a success of this project, this time the support for culture are almost nonexistent, we believe that with your support we will be able to demarcate the existing limitations.
da fábrica que desvanece à baía do tejo, was an artist residency that happened between May and July of 2014, in the old territory of the CUF, Companhia União Fabril, current Baía do Tejo.
This residence was supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Baía do Tejo SA, and invited six portuguese artists to work on a singular territory of peculiar characteristics, memories and signs, marks an indelible historical path of the Portuguese National Industry.
The project was criticized in Expresso, Public, Le Monde, RTP and other platforms that were interested in making known and to write about it.
