The Academy of Music and Arts of Rio Meão , designed by A.M.A.R. , held this year the 8th edition of the festival, on 4th June, at 21h30 at the Cineteatro António Lamoso in Santa Maria da Feira .
The Song Festival is a project promoted by our association , which objective is to promote teenagers taste for music and create the opportunity to experience the dream of a musical performance . This event had its 1st edition in 2008, and since then the number of participants has been increasing . The festival appeared ,initially, in an internal format, directed to the academy's members. Throughout its editions it has been evolved in terms of its shape, from the festival's conditions to the formation of partnerships with neighboring municipalities in order to maximize the event. After the phase of castings and pre-selection of the contestants, is held the final, where the big winners of this edition will be found. For the first time in eight editions, we have a guest artist, which is the winner of the last edition of the TV show "Ídolos" in Portugal, João Couto.
About the author
A.M.A.R. young association with non-profit ends, is a particular character of educational institutions borned eight years ago, essentially because of the need of a space in the parish where children and teenagers could acquire and develop their artistic and intellectual skills.
That way , and in continued growth , this association is providing its students a complex formation, qualitatively promoting their learning. We have an experienced and enabled teaching staff and a great variety of modalities, from music and dance (mostly) through martial arts , fitness and curriculum support .
This association is constituted by a direction ( president , vice - presidents, members, executive and pedagogical direction) , working together to carry out this event .
Budget and due dates
In this 8th edition of the Song Festival Intermunicipal, we pretend to have better conditions for the people involved , the orchestra and the audience to enjoy the whole festival.
For this to happen is very important your support , which will be used in the festival logistics, such as the auditorium of the rental payment to the guest artist and orchestra , food, prizes to all the contestants, souvenirs to the judges , travels , logistics and production of the event .
The amount requested in this campaign corresponds to a small percentage of festival expenses.
