In the last few years the Portuguese community of Youtubers has been growing significantly, so we felt the urge to create this type of events in a way to gather producers and viewers.
In 2011 the first Youtubers gala had place in Seixal, it was organized by Rafael Pires (Lekos) and it counted with more than 300 spectators.
In 2012 the second gala was canceled days before the predicted date at the request of Google due to the fact that the official name of the event had the word "YouTube" in it, without the rightful authorization. The 300 predicted for that gala were sold out in less than 48h.
Since then there have been a few "improvised meetings" which count on with more than 500 people each.
This year we want to organize a meeting with the support of who watches us and possibly also with the support of brands that might be interested in supporting the project. Unlike other years we don't want to be looking for sponsors, what we want is to show that the Youtubers in Portugal are getting more and more independent and that together with the viewers that follow us every day we can make this event happen, thereby opening the doors to new projects of this kind.
The "Encontro de Produtores de Conteúdo para Aquele Site" will take place at the 25th of January of 2014 (between 14.30pm and 18.30pm) at the José Lúcio da Silva theater in Leiria.
The event will be divided into two parts:
On the first part there will be a talk-show hosted by João Paulo Sousa.
On the special guest list are:
KikoisHot, Miguel Luz, Dr M4ster, Nurb, PauloSousaYT, TheRemedyChannel, fhorsaken, Diogo Sena e SirKazzio.
As for the second part of the event, all the guests and viewers will be together at the main lobby where they can hang out with each other, take pictures, autographs...
At the end of the day we hope that everyone can have the possibility to be with their favorite Youtubers and also that connections between producers can be made in a way that the community can benefit with and thereby continue to grow.
