Indie film project that intends to show that you can do a lot with little resources.

"And the Devil Created Women" - A story that leaves us with our hearts full, asking for more. A romantic comedy based on re-encounter of two people who discover they’ve always been alone, even when surrounded by people. They discover that they complete one another but they may not have the strength to venture into a relationship. Drama, joys, comedy and a lot of paranoia of whom is 30 years old, fill this story that is also a love letter to all Women, that wonderful being.

Bruno, Nuno, Fabio and Joana embody a modern production quartet: competence, ambition, dreams, know-how and no money. Still, they went forward, looking for ways to finance another project that is, by now, dormant, but not forgotten. During this period, Bruno Cristóvão revisited the film work of Wong Kar-Wai, just for fun, and realized how they could bring to reality a project written more than 10 years ago. He rewrote the script in 5 days of hyperactivity, transforming “And the Devil Created Women” in a story that draws on the weight of the paranoia in modern relationships, where man and woman share the power over it, instead of a story about a broken hearted man seeking revenge after a failed relationship.

We want to show what is possible to create when you place the love of art above your pockets, ending up with a finished film and we believe to have the right team to do so. The shoestring budget that we propose for the execution of the film is, for the most part, for the rental and/or purchase of equipment necessary to produce the film. Everyone involved renounced their fees for the production process, agreeing that they will only be paid based on the profit of the project. This give us a greater motivation to deliver a high quality film, because only then can you see it in theaters.

We count on your help to achieve the objective and make this a real story, and all which contribute are invited to be part of the film, as described in the rewards.

We are aware that as an investor from abroad, you won’t, most likely, be available to be in the film or be in the premiere, so we ask you to consider investing in the option that gives out a DVD, limited edition, with serial number. It’s cool to show your friends a film that has your name in the credits and don’t be afraid, the film will be subtitled.

Bruno Cristóvão, The Storyteller 

In love with cinema, avidly consumes films since the age of 5, especially Spaghetti Westerns, having staged, with puppets and toys, the great Django X: Revenge.
A people's person, has a great love for the little details of life, and early in life decided he wanted to tell stories. Currently writes and stages in the Teatro a Descoberto, but before studied Anthropology until he fled to London after his great Love: Cinema. Four crazy years at the London Metropolitan University and a son later,returns to Portugal with all the "Know How" of low cost production.

Nuno Morais, Jack of All Trades

Graduated in psychology and, after a few sessions, concludes that needed to perform and produce to be happy. Revealed aptitude and technological interest in the Post Graduation of Film & TV Production in the Piaget Institute, followed by several collaborations in Teatro Mirita Casimiro and collaborations as a screenwriter in Produções Fictícias. He's proud to say: "I have written a book, already planted a tree, now I going to make a movie."

Fábio Ventura, The Glue 

Early realized that was in arts and among artists that he felt at home. Starts to work in cultural projects at an early age. Enrolls in Escola Nacional de Teatro e Cinema (National School for Theater and Cinema) to learn, largely what he already knew, but in a more sophisticated way.
Embraced at a glance the opportunity to produce "The Little Prince in Regaleira" and stayed there producing plays (even the police have difficulties in taking him away from the Quinta, but only sometimes). He loves difficult challenges and so accepted to be part of this team.

Joana Marques, The Matriarch 

Perfectionist from birth (Virgo), is the woman who puts the house in order. Never stepped a stage, has not written a book, but knows what the audience wants and what it loves. Graduated in Cultural Science at the Faculdade de Letras, Universidade de Lisboa, with major in Communication and Culture, as communicating is her talent. At 6 years of age had already discovered what she loves to do: Speak and write. After all, how else could she express all her ideas?
