Full of surprises and new approaches to music that have always motivated this band: the Portuguese musical tradition. With original songs and versions of traditional tunes, the album portraits Quadrilha’s new compositions but is also representative of the influences that marked the various stages of the band.

The band bring us the many influences that have always been its trademark: Celtic Music from Ireland and Britain joins the great passion of the songs that echo in the sands of the Sahara desert. Now it assumes its urban roots and wanders into electronic music.

Produced by Luís Peixoto, includes samplers from Quiné, and has as special guests Carlos Guerreiro, Sofia de Portugal, Tania Cardoso, Ana Mendes, Ana Nobre, Patricia Marques, Rita Santos, Raquel Esteves, Diana Henriques, Orlando Murteira, Gonçalo Pratas, Quitério Miguel and Miguel Simões. And also a magical performance by the saharoui singer Mariem Hassan. We can’t say any more because it is “Proibido Adivinhar” (No Guessing).

About the author

Sebastião Antunes, mentor of Quadrilha, started his career in 1993, with his first album “Contos de Fragas e Pragas”, and began a path supported by the roots of Portuguese traditional music, a strong influence from Celtic Music and incursions to Pop.

The band Quadrilha started performing that same year in Music Festivals in Spain, France, Canada and countless shows in Portugal. 20 years of albums and concerts culminated in the last release “Com Um Abraço” with several featured artists including the Portuguese folk band Galandum Galundaina and the singer from Cape Verde Tito Paris.

In the past several years, Sebastião Antunes began to include in his shows influences from North African Music, especially from the Sahara Desert. The musician has also performed in partnership with the Saharan singer Mariem Hassan.

The CD is already fully recorded, and the desired support of € 2,000.00 for Registry, mechanical execution and CD duplication, to be implemented within 30 days from the end date of the crowdfunding program.
