I got in in a great music College in London, but I don't have the money to go. I need financial help to chase this dream.
My name is Barbara, I am 18 years old and I have been playing the guitar for almost ten years. At first it was just a hobby, but when I realized this was what i wanted to do with my life I decided I would do anything I could to make this dream come true.
When people talked to me, some years ago, about going to London to study, I thought it was unrealistic, but still I decided it was worth the shot. I auditioned in December 2016, and in January 2017 I heard back, and I had been accepted! But all the trust and all the help given to me until that point was not enough, from that moment on.
For a year in this city I need around 25.000€, 10.000€ for the fees and the rest for the living. This 5.500€ I am asking would be a great help in the first months in college in the fantastic city that is London.
About the author
I was born at the 19th of March, 1999 in Viana do Castelo. I started to play in 2008, going through different schools and different instruments, but always playing the guitar, with a great teacher, Francisco Gomes.
I have been in a professional school of music and in academies, and I am currently finishing my last year of highschool, with high grades.
In 2017 I was accepted at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, a Conservatoire in London, where I have wanted to study since I was 14.

Budget and due dates
The money I am trying to raise is not enough for me to live through a whole year, being that 5500€ is a fifth of the year expenses in London.
I have done some interviews for local and national papers and radio stations such as Rádio Alto Minho, Rádio Geice FM, Jornal Público, Antena 1 and I have been on the news, in RTP 1.
I am developing other projects, such as a concert in Centro Cultural de Viana do Castelo, a concert hall in my town, that was provided to me by my town, and whose ticket's money will be given to my cause, to help me to go to London.
BUDGET
- Accommodation for 4 months - 2.800€
- Food, transports and other needs for 4 months - 2.200€
- PPL commissions - 500€
Total - 5.500€
This money would be a great help in the first few months in London.
