"Casa do castelo" is the debut album from portuguese band Banho Maria. This work is a mix of music styles from pop rock to folk and portuguese song "fado" . The songs of "Casa do Castelo" reflect the experiences lived by their members.
Banho Maria is a new musical project based in Ourem- Portugal. The group, consisting of six musicians, born from the creative side of covers band called Devolta and another part in Adega do Largo wich is a place of friendship and discussion more or less inspired by the local medieval wine.
"Casa do Castelo", produced by Nuno Roque (Tiago Bettencourt, Capitão Fausto, Mercado Negro, Golpes, etc.), includes seven original ongs mainly acoustic and sung in Portuguese by the distinctive voice of Claudia Ferreira about naif and shamed love, under melodies created by acoustic guitars, violin, autoharp, glockenspiel, analog keyboards and percussionist Paulo Reis, that creates some of its own instruments.
