The Project |UGO| is a rock album written by Hugo Pinto and has the participation of over 16 Portuguese musicians coming from several musical areas, ranging from rock to jazz. An eclectic mix of 15 songs on a single project in Portugal. By now, the album is fully recorded and it is at the final post-production stage, lacking only the funding for CD's production and duplication. Do you want to be part of this unique project?
The Project |UGO|was born with Hugo Pinto's need to make a different album of all he had done so far.
Hugo's focus was to launch a project that was more personal and that could trace unequivocally his artistic personality. With the will of something new and different, with a new identity, Hugo created the project |UGO|.
He had the collaboration of more than a dozen musicians, mostly friends and Hugo partners in other musical wanderings, they decided to be part of this adventure which is much more than just a solo record.
In the words of Hugo Pinto, "...it is the result of a creative and collective conspiracy to materialize my musical identity."
This project consists of 17 musicians. Hugo Pinto, André Sousa, Bruno Gonçalves, Deborah Content, Eduardo Viana, Filipe Gomes, Francisco Piedade, Henry Peter, John Cabrita, João Rodrigues, Miguel Aguiar, Miguel Bugalho, Pedro Clean, Roberto Araujo, Rodrigo Eusébio, Tiago Grade AKA Rizumik and Tiago Silva. Each musician brings a different sound to the album and they all have traced their own paths in the Portuguese music scene, over the last few years. 7 guitarists, one bassist, one drummer, one percussionist, two pianists and 5 vocalists bring these 15 songs to life, where there is room to rock in its various aspects, ballads at the piano, acoustic songs, blues, jazz and there's even space for some beatbox, with the participation of Rizumik, who has represented Portugal in Beatbox's World Championships. In 2012, he also won the American Beatbox Championship.
