I'm a portuguese soprano seeking for your financial help to be able to participate in BOA (Berlin Opera Academy). I'm hoping this could be the next big step in my opera singer career.
Berlin Opera Academy is a four-week intensive summer program in Berlin. "Guided bu faculty active in the international opera scene from the MET to major German houses, BOA is a month-long intensive European opera cultural training program designed for your singers. Participants are cast in a fully staged production with vocal, theatrical and musical coaching. Singers will audition for agents and small companies for individualized feedback and learn about engagement possibilities." (from the program's website)
I was cast to sing Nella from the Puccini's Gianni Schicchi. It's a part I already sang with ENOA (http://www.enoa-community.com/) at the Great Auditorium of Calouste Gulbenkian's Foundation in Lisbon (June 2016). It will be great to have the opportunity to study it again and in a whole different production.

About the author
My name is Leonor, I’m 29 years old and I’m a Portuguese soprano trying to make a living in Berlin!
I studied music for almost all my life and it has always brought out the better part of me. I played the violin for eleven years but then I fell in love with Opera as it combined two of the arts I loved the most – singing and acting – and decided to study singing. As I grew up as a musician, I tried to get as much experience as I could on stage in my country but there are almost no opportunities for young musicians at the beginning of their careers.
I love singing in Casa da Música’s choir, with Paul Hillier as the main conductor, but even if I constantly give thanks for everything I learn there, for me that’s still not enough – it is still not opera. So, in February, my husband and I decided to take a leap of faith and to emigrate to a country, and especial to a city, that is always vibrating with cultural events and that values Culture as it deserves – Berlin!
I’d love to be given the opportunity to take part of the Berlin Opera Academy, especially singing one of my favourite roles of all time and one of my dearest operas. It’d be crucial to have this financial help from you, for which I’d be extremely grateful for.
Budget and due dates
2750€ won't cover the program's whole fee of 3550€ but it'll be a big help!
Part of it, 236,78€, will be used to cover the expenses of PPL's crowdfunding platform.

Agradecimento final e recompensas
Leonor
