Crowdfunding campaign for the air ticket of the representative of Portugal in the Slam Poetry world championship

Hello poetry supporters 🌞

This is a crowdfunding that aims to buy the Recife-Lisbon airline ticket for me to travel to Paris and represent Portugal in the poetry slam world championship ✊🏾💜.

I was the national poetry slam champion of the 7th National Poetry and Performance Festival Portugal.SLAM!, which took place in Coimbra, Portugal, in June 2021. I had immigrated to the country to study a PhD at that time and I won a regional battle, I had vacancy in the national and I won 🤗✨. I was the first woman to win the festival in seven editions! I am also one of the co-creators of the first all-female poetry slam collective in Portugal (meet @slamdasminascoimbra ).

Poetry slam is a spoken poetry battle. Each poet has three minutes to perform an authorial poetry. We compete and have fun, but who wins is the struggle and political resistance that we do through marginal poetry!

Why am I not in Portugal?

I lived in Coimbra for two years, organized several events of literary activism, communication and community culture, housing rights, organized poetry slam battles and plays. However, at the time of the World Cup, I had returned to my hometown. I hadn't come home for two years and IT WAS THE MISSING THAT BROUGHT ME BY THE ARM 🎺🥁🎶🤎

The organization of the Poetry Slam World Cup only guarantees the passage from the country where the person won the national championship to France, that is, in my case from Lisbon to Paris. So, I need your help to help me get from Recife to Lisbon .

She is a historian and journalist, has a master's degree in social history from the Universidade Federal Fluminense and is currently a doctoral candidate in Social Sciences at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. author of the book " my anger with a poetry that only gets worse " (Ed. Urutau) which deals with experiences and subjectivities of immigration from the point of view of anger and decolonial feminism.

in the last year, he has published poems in three anthologies of poetry by Portuguese-speaking immigrants: "return to your land: an anti-fascist/anti-racist anthology of foreign poets in Portugal" (Editora Urutau, 2021); "Feminist Powers: Letter and Voice" (independent ed, 2021) and "Anthology of Lusophone Immigration" (Kotter Editorial, 2021). believes in popular education and is a militant for the right to housing and land!

Budget and due dates

600 euros is the approximate cost of airfare. The world championship will take place from May 23-29 in Paris.
