About the author

Dona Júlia de Sousa Fernandes Pestana was born 64 years ago in the District of Chaves. At the age of 16, he came to Lisbon to work for a stationery shop in Benfica, where he acquired an experience of selling tobacconists and school or office supplies. Fifteen years ago she decided to be a small businesswoman and open her kiosk, where she could put into practice her skills as a saleswoman.

Ever since the kiosk opened it felt an excitement on the avenue and became a meeting point and conviviality of some neighborhood. Everybody knows Dona Júlia and they are going to buy newspapers, magazines and other articles, tobacconists and sweets from the kiosk.

Those who live in the area know that they can count on Dona Júlia, always in their working hours, only closing Sunday afternoon.
