A thermal printer.
We are ONO Tattoo, a tattoo studio that, like so many others, struggles to survive in this pandemic scenario.
Our main objective is Eco-Tattoo, a path that we decided to follow in a medium that still has a lot to change. We have made great strides in the field of plastics, where we have already achieved an incredible reduction in the use of biodegradable disposable material - with the help of new products of excellence in the European market.
Given that we use printing with hectographic ink _ the ink typically used to transfer the reference image to the skin ... that of the chemical paper_ and there does not seem to be an immediate solution in the eco-sustainability of the inks, we would like to take a step towards Vegan hectographic printing, but ... we have no way to buy a thermal printer now that makes this process possible.
This printer receives images in digital format directly from platforms such as computers or tablets, eliminating the need to print the image on traditional printers and hand stencil (tattoo reference) on chemical paper.
With the use of Vegan roll ectographic paper, the waste of this same paper is greatly reduced and the use of a traditional printer is absolutely dispensed with.
The transfer of the design is done through a thermal process, just like the printers in the stores, resulting in a very solid reference and with definition up to 300 dpis, without ever needing an ink cartridge ... a classic problem that accumulates plastic waste and toxic inks .
Would be great ! ! But how?...
That's when it occurred to us ... a Crowdfunding campaign.
Our idea is as follows, all contributions over € 25 will be entitled to a voucher equivalent to twice the contribution. With you, our friends, with the possibility of obtaining discounts in the order of 50% on the next tattoo you want to do with us.
