BDO Portugal joined Oikos' challenge "Oikos Desafio 100", participating in the 100kms race with a team formed by its 8 employees.
This challenge aims to raise funds for developing a digital platform to help connect small producers of fruits and vegetables with merchants and consumers, thus benefiting the small scale agricultural economy and reducing food waste.
At BDO, like Oikos, we believe that this initiative may help significantly reduce the huge waste of food left rotting in the agricultural fields.
"Oikos Desafio 100" will take place over the weekend of 5th/6th April and all participating teams must raise 1000€. This money will be used to finance the development of the digital platform.
