A project that starts from the constant urge to embrace new challenges, share experiences, grow smiles and invest in a fuller and better life, not only for me but also for those who surround me.
After two trips to Cape Verde in 2018, as cultural knowledge and personal enrichment, I fell in love with it this country. I'm sure it's the place where I have to be.
I have the opportunity to help in Associação Espaço Jovem, in the neighborhood of Ribeira da Craquinha in Mindelo, Cape Verde. This host organization has open two spaces for children and young people with a wide range of social and educational activities. They have, throughout the year, activities of school support, reading, music, dance, theater, entertainment / games, reflection and playful recreation.
Social impact, community growth, development of socio-educational activities, inclusion in society, among others, are the main reasons why I applied for this project. At a point in my life when I feel confident about my abilities and my work in order to apply my knowledge in other cultures, to involve people in the community, to contribute to change someone's future.
With your help I hope to be able to apply and develop the tools of social work, community work and with children and young people that I have learned over time, in order to contribute, help and influence people's lives. Reconciling my experience in social and participatory architecture and in non-formal education, strengthen the relationship between these fields, creating a greater inclusion of communities.
