There are more than 1,000 Portuguese infected in homes and IPSS and without access to protective masks.
The Oceanos Without Plastics Association could not remain indifferent challenging more than 150 volunteers to sew masks to donate to homes and IPSS across the country.
In the first 8 days of Operation Solidarity Mask, we have already delivered 12,000 masks to 110 institutions in 56 different municipalities in all districts of Portugal!
Unfortunately we have a waiting list of 80 homes and IPSS that work with seniors.
Material costs are high and inflated with this crisis and without your support we are unable to continue ...
This model of mask is already being requested by many municipalities and it has been validated by two health delegates.
A little support would allow us to continue the operation and save many lives.

About the author
The promoter is the President of the Oceanos sem Plásticos Association (as a volunteer).
He has dedicated part of his life to supporting social causes, such as the Timorese cause, the environmental cause, support for people with disabilities (he works at the Salvador Association) or now in the fight against coronavirús.
It has already carried out several successful campaigns at PPL, supporting various social causes or children with disabilities.
This Operation Solidarity Mask has more than 150 volunteers in various parts of the country.
Budget and due dates
The funds raised allow us to produce 11,000 masks, which will be donated to 100 homes and IPSS that support seniors in all districts of the country.
The total amount will be for the purchase of 500 meters of tnt and 4,000 meters of rubber bands.
1 day after the end of the campaign we will start the production of the masks that will last 10 days. 3 days after the end of the campaign we will start distributing the masks with the support of a carrier.
Together we will save lives!
PPL is not charging any fees for this campaign except for the payment costs
