Production of Protection Visors. CoVid-19, PORTUGAL

Fundraising for the purchase of materials for the production of visors, in Évora. Aware of the importance that this project has for the country, the visors can be delivered to other institutions.

It will no longer be necessary to explain, at present, the situation we are experiencing and the demands arising from it. With the increase in confirmed cases in our country, there is a shortage of medical supplies and individual protection for those who are at the forefront of the fight against this pandemic.

The visors we produce prevent contagion not only from health professionals, but from other users and patients who share the same space. Each infected person can be the beginning of a vast chain of contagion!

The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds for the purchase of materials needed for the production of visors , in Évora. Aware of the importance that this project has for the entire territory, the masks produced may be delivered to other needy hospitals .

By supporting this cause you are helping to equip those who are on the front line, exposed daily to situations of increased risk! Furthermore, it is a fundamental contribution to our Public Health, a common good!

Your help is essential to be able to proceed with the response to the requests of our frontline professionals!

***** With the material we had available, we were able to deliver, today (03/24/2020), 60 protective visors at the Hospital do Espírito Santo, in Évora!

We have more orders, from Hospitals and Health Centers, but we have no material available to fulfill them! *****

The DIY ÉVORA group (Do It Yourself Évora) is a technological , multidisciplinary volunteer group full of will and determination to win with our ideas and projects! We are young people, residing in Évora, from the most diverse areas of knowledge united by the common objective of helping to transform our world for the better, we join all efforts for the creation of new projects in any technological scope.

None of the members of this group will have any financial return on the project and any amount raised will be applied, in full, in the production of visors and other material that is considered necessary by the institutions / health professionals.

Budget and due dates

For the production of visors, these materials are essential:
Acetate sheets A4 and A3;
Acrylic (preferably cast), 3mm thick;
PETG sheet, thickness 3mm;
Transparent PVC film, thickness 0.5 to 0.8mm;
PETG filament, thickness 1.75mm;
PETG filament, thickness 2.85mm;

Any amount raised, after reaching the objective, will be applied to the purchase of these essential materials for the production of personal protective equipment. The Value we propose will be a basis for us to start responding to requests, the more we get, the greater the response and the readiness of the equipment.
