Editing a Cognitive Stimulation Activity Book for the Elderly
The mission of the Yellow Heart Association - Lisbon Delegation is to support and accompany elderly people who are in solitude and / or isolation or at risk of becoming. Being a volunteer framing entity, it accomplishes this mission through a group of volunteers that are part of a rear technical team responsible for the integration, monitoring and supervision of the work of these volunteers. Bet on the innovation of a qualified and differentiated response that fits with personal and social contexts in permanent development.
The elderly person is thus in a phase of life in which the occupation of free time is of particular importance, as the participation or performance of various activities, according to their interests profile, contributes to the maintenance of their cognitive parameters and therefore for the prevention of dementia.
The Lisbon Delegation is applying with this project to #GivingTuesdayPT with the dual purpose of contributing to the retardation of the cognitive losses characteristic of this age group, but also, and above all, to stimulate the knowledge and know-how skills, contributing to the improvement of self-esteem and self-confidence of the elderly.

A edição de um Caderno de Atividades para Estimulação Cognitiva da Pessoa Idosa irá contribuir para o retardamento das perdas cognitivas, mas também, e sobretudo, para estímulo das competências do saber e do saber ser, contribuindo para a melhoria da auto-estima e auto-confiança da pessoa idosa.
Com a ajuda de todos será possível chegar – ainda! - mais longe!
