Kunfya

Kunfya goes to Sao Tome and Principe to fight human waste through non-formal education techniques that will promote the empowerment of each individual and facilitate their path to success. Are we counting on you to change the world?

KUNFYA! Do you know what you mean ?! Trust! Kunfya arose from the need to combat the greatest waste ... human waste! During a training course on entrepreneurship and social intervention promoted by Portuguese NGO WACT - We Are Changing Together, a group of four empowered women realized that one of the greatest problems in both Sao Tome and Principe and in many other countries of the world, it is each individual discrediting himself and doubting his skills and abilities and the difference he can make in the world! Empowering and training children and young adults through sports activities (such as surf, skateboard and yoga), group dynamics and the cooperative construction of a common space (a garden), Kunfya will work on the necessary personal and social development skills to full human development and to meeting success: proactiveness, responsibility, resilience, self-esteem and autonomy! This is how these four women will make a difference in the world, empowering many children and young people and motivating them to be always more and better, cooperating with each other and helping to develop their home, community, country ... We know that we are not alone and that we are privileged to be closer to this context and to put Kunfya into practice ... and we want to know who you are and incorporate your contributions! A young and dynamic team, passionate about entrepreneurship and human development!

With training in the areas of education, personal development, social service, sports (surfing, skateboarding, yoga) and economy and working experience with communities and children, this team will put all its skills at the service of Kunfya and bring the children and young adults in São Tomé and Príncipe the empowerment necessary for their change!

"Eva Calçada, 22 years old, graduated in social service, I am passionate about human development and nature, what moves me daily is knowing that every human being is unique and has the strength to be happy. I am one of the right persons to put Kunfya into practice because I believe in positive change and I am determined and resilient, putting all my strength into what I believe in. Curiosity: I have panic of spiders! "

"Marta Castro, 22 years old, an economics student, passionate about traveling, meeting new people and cultures. What moves me is being able to make a difference, somehow, in the lives of the people I meet, trying to make the best of. I am a fundamental element in Kunfya because I am a very optimistic and resilient person who can overcome several obstacles to reach the desired goal. Curiosity: I studied in a Thai college and it was the best 6 months of my life! "

"Patrícia Gouveira, 28 years old, social worker and master in community psychology. I am fascinated by people and the best of each one, always believing in the potential that each one of us has. I like to feel that every day I do something useful for the good of the community. I am an essential element in Kunfya because of this: I fully believe in the potential of each person and that we can all achieve our goals and ambitions if we work for it. Curiosity: my favorite place is the beach!"

"Susana Matias, 41 years young, a teacher of children's yoga and a bewitched by surfing and skateboarding, admire people who allow themselves to live truly, who challenge themselves as their own heroes.I am an essential element in Kunfya because I am an agent of change , with an extraordinary ability to adapt and with an enormous passion for human development. Curiosity: I started surfing to overcome the trauma of a drowning at the age of 9. "
