A large sculpture.
Vilarinho is a crossing point for thousands of pilgrims every year, making this an ancient path.
My project intends to honor Vilarinho, Santiago, and Pilgrims from all over the world, with a large (3m) and somewhat primitive and rough aspect sculpture, as you can see in the model of the project.
I look forward for your help ... altogether, let's keep this “live" track with the milestones that already exist and create others to attract more pilgrims ...
So, to see our Santiago, move your heavy legs and run the world by the hand of who here has passed.
About the author
The sculptor Carlos Rodrigues was born in Angola in 1963.
Carlos Rodrigues now lives in Vilarinho, Vila do Conde.
Too soon he became involved with a marble workshop, working with a grinder stone and marble processing, which he learned from his family.
In his spare time, as a way to escape from the routine of working under contract (mostly making tombstones) and spreading life in to our homes, he creates numerous pieces, with no pretensions to be sculptures.
In 1988, after the stubbornness of friends, he opened his first exhibition at the Tourism Office of Vila do Conde.
Without school and without resorting to styles or trends, the name "Loose Stones", displays all the works the artist has built through time and that are stored in the corners of his home.

Vamos lá a ajudar a levantar o nosso Santiago!
