The Dream of Celina - Mural at Praceta Francisco Finura

Creation of mural at Praceta Francisco Finura, in Setúbal. The mural will be created by the artist Mariana PTKS with the aim of bringing new life to the local community, helping in the conservation of space and memory.

Two years ago, our praceta was named after Francisco Finura, a tribute from the city to a dear and inspiring figure of the Setubalense's imaginary  who lived and worked here.

Today we want to continue this tribute by turning Praceta Finura into an artistic point of reference for its inhabitants and visitors, as well as a focus of cultural production.

CAMPAIGN

The main goal of this campaign is the creation of a mural that brings new life to the local community and helps in the conservation of space and memory. To help us with this mission, we invite Mariana PTKS to the realization of this mural. We want to make this space more pleasant and modern, a place where everyone has pleasure and desire to be and visit.

Why do we need your help?

The materials needed for our artist will be guaranteed withinthe project "Setúbal Mais Bonita". However, we need to finance the working days of Mariana PTKS, particularly with labor, travel and food costs.
For this, we have joined several friends and people who work in the praceta who provided some rewards for this project can happen.
All contributions will be recorded in the QR code that will be part of the mural, so that all the supporters have their name marked in this project.

Project Splitting

This mural is only the first step towards the dynamization of the Praceta Francisco Finura. It will be the first phase of a larger project involving a multi-skilled physical space, which will serve as a gallery and space for debates and workshops.

About the author

This praceta is the home of the collective audiovisual GARAGEM that has been here since 2011, working mostly with musicians, but not only. It works in space that was once a photography laboratory, Amplicolor. At this moment they integrate Pedro Semedo, Mário Guilherme, António Aleixo and André Areias. The Garage has also been the home and crossing point of several friends musicians, artists and onlookers from all over.

In 2015, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Praceta, they also gathered efforts and realized a mural of the own Finura, by the design of Zé Nova and execution of João Varela.

Budget and due dates

Our goal is to reach 1500€, which will go to labor costs, travel, stays and meals.

The project will happen according to the dates of the "Beautiful Setúbal" initiative, which will be held from 17th to 20th May, so crowdfunding will end on the last day of the mural's execution.
